Supporting communication, confidence & connection
Practical, neurodiversity-affirming speech and language therapy for teenagers, young adults and adults.
Welcome to Ceangal
Ceangal, pronounced kyang-gal, is an Irish word meaning connection.
Speech and language therapy should feel relevant to everyday life. Support is practical, collaborative and shaped around each person’s communication style, strengths and goals.
That might mean building confidence in conversations, navigating relationships, speaking up for yourself, preparing for work, developing greater independence, or managing changes to communication.
How we can help
-
Expressing thoughts, feelings and needs, finding the right words, understanding others and navigating everyday conversations.
-
Exploring ways of connecting that feel authentic, understanding different communication styles, navigating conversations and groups, perspective-taking, and managing social energy.
-
Making and maintaining friendships, navigating dating and relationships, communicating with others, and understanding consent and healthy boundaries.
-
Understanding your communication style, strengths and support needs, speaking up for yourself, asking for help, making choices, and communicating your preferences and boundaries.
-
Support with school, college, employment, interviews, workplace communication, adapting to change, and preparing for what comes next.
-
Planning, organisation, executive functioning, everyday routines, managing responsibilities, problem-solving, and participating more independently in community life.
Who we support
People seek support for many different reasons. We primarily work with teenagers, young adults and adults who want support with communication, confidence, relationships, education, work, or everyday life.
Ceangal welcomes people with different communication styles, strengths and support needs. You may have a diagnosis, be exploring neurodivergence, or simply be looking for practical support with an area of everyday life.
A formal diagnosis or professional referral is not required. If you are unsure whether Ceangal is the right fit, you are welcome to get in touch and talk through what you are looking for.
